2020 AILA/GMS Virtual Annual Global Immigration Forum, to be held on Dec 2, 2020, is titled: Global Immigration Practice in a Pandemic-Driven Universe: Small Steps and Giant Leaps for Humankind.
Leading-edge global immigration topics focusing on the technologically redesigned world of 2020! This virtual conference, presented in partnership by AILA National and the AILA Global Migration Section (GMS) is designed to focus on the state of global immigration as redefined by the COVID-19 pandemic. The expert panelists will provide attendees with the most current information on the cosmic storm of global immigration changes driven by the pandemic. They also will focus on the redesigned workplace, the increasingly electronic practice of global immigration law, best practices in emergency responses to assist marooned assignees, ethical global immigration practice during a crisis, and the reinvention of global immigration practice resulting from COVID-19.
Avv. Marco Mazzeschi will be participating in the section of “THE BATTLE-SCARRED STARSHIP GLOBAL IMMIGRATION: EMERGING FROM THE PANDEMIC LOCKDOWN“.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the world of global immigration seemed bipolar: many nations were tightening immigration, compelled by nationalist agendas, while other countries continued to open their borders in the race for global talent. During the pandemic and recovery, global immigration experiences significant interruptions and obstacles. Our faculty for this opening panel will report on the state of play in a pandemic-driven world.
