The Italian Consulate in London has just announced the list of documents required for application of the Italy Digital Nomad Visa and Remote Worker Visa.
Key documents include a duly filled and signed application form, a valid passport/travel document, passport-style photos, proof of qualification or relevant professional experience, and documentation of previous fiscal year income. Applicants must provide proof of accommodation arrangements in Italy, ensuring access to suitable lodging throughout their stay. Health insurance coverage for the entire duration of the visit is mandatory. For those applying under the remote worker visa category, additional documentation is required such as employment contract/offer and a written declaration by the employer, ID copy and proof of the absence of convictions in the previous 5 years, as per Art. 22, comma 5- bis, of Italian Immigration law.
By delineating the document requirements, the Italian Consulate aims to provide clarity and guidance to prospective applicants, streamlining the application process and enhancing the overall experience for digital nomads and remote workers seeking to make Italy their home.
We now wait for other consulates to open applications and for the Ministry of Foreign Affair to update the list of requirements in the visa requirements website https://vistoperitalia.esteri.it/home/en
