On 16 October 2023, the Italian Council of Ministers definitively approved the legislative decree which implements Directive (EU) 2021/1883 and introduces new rules on the entry and residence of highly qualified foreign nationals (EU Blue Card).
The new rules should simplify entry and residence conditions, guarantee more flexibility and facilitate family reunification.
The concerning decree will enter into force after the publication in the Official Gazette.
